ECGsigns of IHD of men population of megapolis (Novosibirsk) and moderately urbanized cities of West Siberia (Tyumen, Tomsk) were studied comparatively. Representative samples of men in the age of 25-64 years of age living in each administrative unit of these Siberian cities were studied using WHO MONICA protocol - Novosibirsk, Tyumen and Tomsk. Standardized survey techniques recognized in epidemiology were used; the presence and intensity of ECGsigns of IHB were defined according to encoding methods of Minnesota code. It was established that ECGsigns IHD were more often in men of 25-64 years of age living in megapolis than in moderately urbanized cities of the region. Also, high level of painless IHD and possible IHD is more typical to megapolis population than to Tyumen and Tomsk. Revealed pattern is formed mainly due to young adults. In the structure of ECGsigns of IHD possible IHD is prevailing in all populations. The difference in detecting acute myocardial infarction was reveled in men of moderate urbanized cities. The organized study allowed to reveal interpopulational differences in the epidemiological situation of IHD in the city population of men in the region. A hypothesis was developed about predominant influence of psychosocial risk factors of IHD on the revealed patterns forming.
