This research focuses on the depiction of artificial intelligence, modern technologies, and the risks associated with using them in the English dystopia of the 20th century. The study draws upon authentic texts by George Orwell (1984), Ray Bradbury (Fahrenheit 451), and Aldous Huxley (Brave New World). The dystopian worlds constructed by the authors feature high-tech devices and technologies developed long after the time when the works were published, such as biorobots, texts and music generated by artificial intelligence, interactive TV-screens, creating living organisms artificially and others. It demonstrates the unique predictive potential of dystopian literature. Thus, the dystopian genre serves as an important tool for critically reviewing scientific and technological evolution and its potential negative consequences for society and the individual.
