The art of geometrized folk ornament in the formation of the outlook of 4-7 aged children

The article presents a new perspective on the use of arts and crafts in the education of preschoolers. The aim of the paper is to describe the features of children perception of the world image in the art of geometrized folk ornament and to describe the development of the world image in the content of decorative ornamental activity. To achieve this aim we used the methods of analysis of the literature, experiment, interview, diagnostic tasks, analysis of the products of children's activity and a mathematical method for processing the results. The article presents the characteristics of the author’s model for the development of the world image of 4-7 years’ children by means of geometrized folk ornament. The model is a unity of three interconnected stages: emotional and cognitive, ornamental and figurative and ornamental and artistic. The article describes the complex of methods and techniques for activating the process of children’s artistic perception of the world image in the art of geometrized folk ornament and the creation of this image by means of drawing techniques and applications. The concept of “the world image in decorative ornamental creative work of 4-7 years’ children” is defined. The research results can be used to implement the ideas of the Federal State Educational Standards of preschool education, in particular, the education content, formed by the participants of educational relations, namely the specifics of the national and cultural conditions of the educational process.
