This article examines the peculiarities of cultural identity formation through the prism of the traditions of the Russian school of classical dance, which is an important part of the world cultural heritage. The influence of globalization processes on the transformation of cultural practices and the preservation of the uniqueness of the Russian ballet school in modern conditions is analyzed. Special attention is paid to the study of a new method – existential semiotics, which allows for a deeper understanding of the inner essence of Russian ballet, its symbolism and meaning in the context of cultural identity. Theoretical approaches to the study of cultural identity and its reflection in dance art are considered, where the symbolism and aesthetics of ballet productions are an important element. The article focuses on the role of the Russian ballet school as an important component of the national cultural heritage, contributing to the preservation and dissemination of unique traditions. The article highlights the importance of classical dance as a means not only of preserving cultural diversity, but also of creating productive interaction between tradition and innovation, necessary for the successful development of modern society.
