The results of treatment of 40 patients at the BSMU Clinic were analyzed. Patients with diabetic foot syndrome were treated for stenosing and occluding pathologies of arteries of the lower extremities. The study group consisted of 15 patients who underwent dilation of lower limb arteries with drug-coated balloon catheters. The control group included 25 patients, whose treatment was performed with conventional balloon angioplasty. It was found that the risk of restenosis decreased in patients treated with balloon drug-coated catheters. The use of balloon drug-coated catheters retained the possibility of re-intervention, indicating the high efficiency and universality of balloon drug-coated catheters compared to conventional balloon catheters.
