Using the distance form of entrance examinations at the faculty of correspondence studies at the Barnaul Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia

Introduction. The role of students' self-guided learning is increasing, where a special role in educational activities is acquired by the forms and methods of work that effectively stimulate individual activity and the creative approach of students to the educational process. The goal is to reveal the conceptual features of distant entrance examinations using Moodle software. Materials and methods. A comparative analysis between the traditional entrance exams (2017) and distance entrance tests using the Moodle software (2018) was conducted on the basis of the Barnaul Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. Results and discussion. The advantages of the Moodle system are revealed, which allow students to perceive one another, interact, exchange information, realize all the communicative qualities of students, and also give an arbitrary number of interactive course resources. The algorithm of the entrance examinations procedure using remote technologies is described. The problems that arise during the distance entrance examinations are outlined. A comparative analysis of conducting entrance examinations in the traditional form and distant form is shown for 2017-2018. Conclusions. The conceptual features of remote entrance examinations using Moodle software are explained and their advantages over traditional entrance exams are revealed. Today, in the Barnaul Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, this experience has been recognized as positive and recommended for use in subsequent years.
