The use of game technologies in biology lessons as a means of developing students' creative abilities

This article discusses game technologies that can be used in biology lessons in order to develop students' creative abilities. For this purpose, within the framework of a pedagogical experiment, the analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature on this problem was carried out, the features of the development of creative abilities of 7th grade students were studied and game technologies aimed at increasing the creative abilities of students were identified. The experiment showed that it is most expedient to use a lesson-a game, a role-playing project for this purpose, especially in lessons on fixing, systematization or repetition of material. The data obtained during the experiment allow us to assert the effectiveness of using the selected methods, the positive results of which are reflected in a significant improvement in the indicators of creative activity and an increase in the degree of interest in biology.
