An urgent problem of modern education is the development of natural science literacy in schoolchildren. The possibilities of supplementary education can be used in solving this problem. The article presents an analysis of scientific approaches to the concept of natural science literacy, the experience of implementing innovative forms and technologies of supplementary education and diagnostic results confirming their influence on the development of natural science literacy in schoolchildren, it also determines the possibilities of expanding the areas of their further application. Research Aim is to study and describe the influence of innovative forms and technologies of supplementary education on the development of natural science literacy in schoolchildren. Research Objectives are to analyze scientific approaches to the interpretation of the concept of natural science literacy, to characterize and evaluate the influence of innovative forms and technologies of supplementary education on the development of natural science literacy in schoolchildren.
