The article is devoted to calculation of the temperature field in the cross section of the groove of the armature of a DC motor with liquid filling. The method of conformal transformation is used to convert the mathematical model into the grooves of the oval form, which is also successfully applied in calculations of flat magnetostatic fields. The method of finite integral transformations of G.A. Grinberg is used for finding the distribution of temperature field in the cross section of the groove with nonhomogeneous boundary conditions. The results of calculation of temperature field in the cross section of the groove motors 0,2-10,0 kW are given in the work. The use of this method significantly simplifies the complex mathematical calculations, reduces calculation time and gives the required accuracy of the calculations. The offered technique can be used for calculation of a temperature field in drive windings and windings of additional poles of engines of a direct current, and when calculating heating of machines of an alternating current.
