The purpose of this study is to create a 3D model of a real-life part, which will be obtained based on the method of scanning the part using laser coordinate measuring systems and comparing the obtained dimensions with the prototype. The results were obtained confirming the compliance of the dimensions of the obtained model with the dimensions of the original part. In conclusion, the development of digitalization has accelerated the implementation of the digital twin concept, which has become one of the bases of modern production, which includes various tools, including scanning methods for further use in the product life cycle.
