For example, the Hill’s brand in its “Science Plan No Grain” line produces a grain-free tuna food recommended for dogs that are overweight or have food allergies. Zoodiet uses turkey protein in its “weight management Turkey” line for adult dogs also prone to weight gain. The paper presents a historical background of the methods of feeding dogs and approaches to feeding at present. The availability of raw materials obtained from salmon species of fish has been assessed. a review of pet food products of various companies containing lines of food containing salmon as an alternative to poultry and ungulate meat has been carried out. The rules of labeling of pet food labels were announced.
