Using project methods to implement communicative tasks when teaching the Russian language to national groups at non-linguistic universities

This article discusses the use of the project method to achieve communicative goals in Russian language classes within national groups at non-linguistic universities. The project method is identified as an effective approach to teaching Russian, fostering the development of students’ communication skills and enhancing their motivation. The author explores the application of this method in Russian language lessons for national groups, where students exhibit varying levels of proficiency in Russian. The study analyzes the process of implementing projects, beginning with topic selection, group formation, information gathering, and culminating in the creation of project outcomes. Special emphasis is placed on the communicative interaction among students during project work, which aids in the advancement of their language and communication skills. The author recommends utilizing diverse project formats such as presentations, videos, or written reports to stimulate communication in Russian. Additionally, the significance of feedback and reflection in improving communication skills and boosting students' motivation to learn Russian is underscored.
