The efficiency and rationality of songs application in the formation of linguistic and sociocultural competence of future foreign language teachers

The article is devoted to the problem of linguistic training of students. The following statement is proved in this article: an authentic song can be means in the formation of students' linguistic personality, their professional competence, their emotional sphere, development of memory and speech skills. Auding underestimation can negatively affect students' linguistic training. The application of authentic songs can promote the solution of this problem, these songs are cognitively valuable and reflect the number of peculiar features of the English language, way of life in Great Britain, its culture and so on.
