The article deals with the concept of artistic talent and the problem of its early recognition. There is conducted the comparative analysis of the existing approaches to the revealing of the artistic talent. The author defines the criteria of the artistic talent and classifies the common mistakes in the process of the revealing of the artistic talent. There are given the urgent creative practices that are able to be the field for the development of the artistic talent.
