Project-based approach in training dental technicians

The use of new educational technologies in professional medical training that bring the process closer to real practice, including both didactic classes and universal competencies, makes it possible to provide motivation for learning and self-development.The article describes the interactive process of training dental technicians in manufacturing and correcting a complete removable prosthesis in an outpatient setting by using a clinical case approach when the professor is performing functional control before fixing the complete denture in place. However, the first fitting does not always lead to successful stabilization of dentures on the jaw and may require correction. In addition to developing special skills, future specialists should also learn how to deal with stressful situations, be able to resolve professional disputes. In the process of manufacturing and correcting complete dentures, a professor should ensure students’ motivation to build their own educational trajectory, continue self-determined learning and gain practical experience.
