Using project activities in Russian lessons

The article dwells on a problem of project method application in Russian language classes at school. The research relevance is due to the fact that the formation of certain language competencies requires the use of various methods of work, one of which is project method. For Russian practice, this pedagogical method is relatively new, and its effectiveness depends on the discipline for which it is used. The research goal is to identify the features of the application of the project method among students of high grades in the Russian language course. The research methodology includes the general scientific methods (analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction), as well as a number of special methods: content analysis of scientific literature on the research topic; uninvolved pedagogical supervision; method of educational design, method of test survey; statistical analysis. Based on the results, the author concluded that for working with senior classes, the design method is most effective in the small groups, since students had difficulty finding and structuring information during individual tasks in the Russian language.
