The paper deals with the possible use of social technologies while managing the professional mobility of young people on the labor market. Social technologies are defined in the context of the activity-based approach and the views of Russian and international social scientists and economists on their role in the management process entirely focusing on people. The key challenges and trends are identified that give rise to the need for the use of these technologies in professional mobility management. The research determines the object, subject, and main actors of social technologies involved in this process. They are classified into three groups (information and consulting, educational, and adaptation technologies) depending on their nature and the content of the means employed. The character and specific features of each of them are revealed as well. The author concludes that social technologies are a system of consecutive formalized procedures and operations. They help devise new ways to provide professional self-determination, develop professional capacities and skills, and facilitate the social and professional integration of young people into the modern labor market.
