Use of combination of methods in the process of teaching students foreign languages

The article reveals the main traditional and innovative methods of foreign languages teaching. The author identifies the disadvantages of the analyzed methods and offers the best options for combination of methods in order to remove these disadvantages. Thus, grammar-translation method should be used in combination with natural approach. It provides simultaneous development of the learners’ communicative and grammatical skills. Based on the analysis of the theoretical literature on the stated topic and the author’s experience it is concluded about the necessity to balance innovative and traditional methods in the process of teaching students foreign languages.
