The article discusses endurance, its role in the development of mental and physical performance. The importance and necessity of endurance as a physical quality that determines the level of health and physical fitness is substantiated. The ability of endurance to withstand adverse external influences for a long time is revealed. The types of endurance are considered, the characteristics of the types are given. Complexes of exercises for the development of strength and speed endurance are presented. Recommendations are given.
