The use of visualization of educational material as a means of improving the quality of education

The relevance of the research is related to the need to improve the quality of education through visualization of educational material. The purpose of the work is to study the possibilities of visualization on the example of the discipline "Forensic Medicine and forensic psychiatry" at the University of the Federal Penitentiary Service. The study involved two study groups of 5th-year students in the specialty 40.05.02 - Law enforcement. During the academic semester, in preparation for seminars and practical classes in the discipline, students of one group prepared oral reports on educational issues, and the other group made presentations in the form of slide albums and slide sets using PowerPoint or Publish programs. Evaluation of the effectiveness of visualization of educational material through slide albums and slide sets was carried out by observing the educational activity of students, conversations and testing. Results and discussion. The conducted boundary control showed differences in academic performance in the studied groups. The experience of using visualization of educational material in teaching the discipline "Forensic Medicine and forensic psychiatry" allowed us to identify the advantages, disadvantages and limitations of this technique.
