Research of teachers 'Readiness to use social media to integrate students into multicultural education

This study is devoted to the study of the attitude of university teachers to the use of social networking sites for the development of a multicultural education environment at the university in the context of the formation of multicultural competence and the influence of popular culture on learning. The study was carried out in two stages using the analysis of reflective journals and the author's method of creating practical tasks for the formation of multicultural competence in the framework of learning a foreign language. The data were analyzed using an interpretive phenomenological approach. The results of the analysis showed a positive attitude towards the use of social media as an educational tool, although there are limitations to the use of this technology. In addition, the study describes the conditions for teacher readiness and the complexity of using social media as an educational technology in multicultural education.
