Issues on intellectuals consulted in Chekov’s drama -taking as an example «Uncle Vanya» translated by Li Ni

Russian intellectuals and issues relating to intellectuals in literature works are all the time closely concerned by Chinese scholars. It is of significance to understand Russian literature itself through learning more about the present state of the intellectuals illustrated in those works. This thesis analyzes how Chekov focused in his drama on the intellectuals ’ personality, living state and their existence meaning based on the Chinese version of Uncle Vanya translated in 1954 by Mr. Lini, a noted Chinese translator.
