The research of creativity of high school students

Changing socio-economic and political conditions require from people to be creative in solving problems and to be able to offer original ideas. However, creativity is a complex phenomenon and there are a number of proofs in the literature that people are different not only in the way to acquire knowledge but in their creative abilities as well. The primary aim of our research is to examine the pedagogical conditions of effective creativity development. The paper presents the results of the experimental study named “Development of the creativity of high school students while studying Humanities”. The authors used a number of theoretical and empirical methods, including analysis of the literature, testing and questionnaire. The methods of mathema¬tical statistics were used to analyze the results of the experiment. The main conclusion of the study is that high school students have low creativity, therefore, we need to provide the conditions for the creativity to prosper. To do this the programme to develop creativity was developed. It was implemented in secondary school № 155.
