Russian high school students do not always have a clear understanding of what their educational strategy should be, which one would allow them to obtain the necessary qualifications and successfully realize themselves in their chosen profession. The article presents some results of a study conducted in one of the administrative districts of Moscow. The aim was to study the students' ideas about their educational goals, trajectories of their achievement and strategies of their own behavior. The obtained results allow us to assert that most of them have formed ideas about their future profession and the necessary educational trajectory. They concentrate their own resources on successful promotion. The study made it possible to identify those sources of information and agents of influence that determine the educational trajectory and behavior strategy of high school students.
