the results of which — as well as the study itself — can be applied in university prac-tice. The article outlines the main findings of a survey aimed at identifying the opin-ions of first-year students in teacher education programs regarding their choice of university and future profession. The article made it possible to determine the key preferences of students who have chosen teaching as their professional path. Explor-ing this topic is not only relevant for designing activities to attract prospective appli-cants to higher education institutions but also provides insight into the main incen-tives and motivations guiding the future teachers enrolled in university teacher training programs.
