Views of Kuban students on management activity: specific and main characteristics

The research analyzes the shortage of literacy in organizational management, the lack of developed managerial skills in university graduates associated with the ever-increasing demand for qualified economic specialists appropriate to the current situation in the Russian economy. Based on a questionnaire, the authors reveal and substantiate Kuban students’ views on and knowledge in the field of management. The sociological study describes the students’ views on professional challenges faced by managers. The research describes the basic mechanisms for developing the future managers’ readiness for professional activity, the main professional tasks in the field of personnel management. Moreover, the paper identifies a system of measures that facilitates the comprehensive structured understanding of management activities by students.
