Investigation of the process of processing potato tubers with chlorprofam steam and development of an installation for its implementation

The study of measures and techniques that ensure a relatively high preservation of potatoes is performed. The most important for the preservation of potatoes are active ventilation and the creation of an optimal temperature regime, but the technological equipment is expensive. The analysis of modern literature data, as well as the results of reconnaissance experiments, allowes to conclude that a significant increase in the safety of potatoes while reducing energy consumption can be achieved by pretreatment of seed tubers with chlorprofam vapors using device AIROFOG [2]. Methods of literary and statistical analysis, mathematical modeling, engineering experiment, methods of feasibility study are used to solve research problems. The aim of the study is to increase the safety of potato tubers during their storage by treating potato tubers with chlorprofam vapors and developing an installation for its implementation in a potato storage facility.
