Investigation of the irritating and sensitizing effect of a silage feed additive of microbiological origin

The article presents result of studying the irritating and sensitizing effect of microbiological origin silage feed additive in experiments on laboratory rabbits and guinea pigs. In the study of the irritant effect on the skin, no reaction was observed. A minimal and completely reversible response to the drug was noted in conjunctival test. Hypersensitivity of animals to the studied feed additive was absent in delayed-type hypersensitivity detecting by closed skin applications method.
