The article presents the results of studying the retest reliability of the psychodiagnostic technique “Dominant criminal motive”, developed by one of the authors - psychologist Ju.A. Malyushina. This methodology is a questionnaire containing 52 statements. The aim of the empirical study was to determine the retest reliability of the present method. The authors used methods of mathematical statistics, including Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient, and psychodiagnostic methods to check correlation relationships for the quantitative analysis of information obtained. It is proved that the indicators of the “Dominant criminal motive” technique meet all the necessary requirements of retest reliability and, accordingly, the considered methodology can be used in practical activities of psychologists, teachers, social teachers, law enforcement officers when monitoring the state of juvenile delinquency, as well as in the framework of preventive work with adolescents.
