Research of social activity and social activism in the offline and online space

The article examines the social activities of student youth, namely social activism in offline and online spaces. Theoretical aspects of social activity and social activism, the main signs of social activism, the impact of digital media on activity, digital activism (cyber activism) are considered. The results of a sociological study conducted in 2022 in Novosibirsk (n = 348 people) are described, revealing some aspects of the manifestation of social activity and social activism by student youth. The role of virtual space in the development of social activity, the importance of the Internet as a means to create new forms of social activity and involvement in active social practices are analyzed, the main forms of manifestation of social activity, the practice of social participation, political and non-political activism of students in offline and online spaces are presented.
