The global environmental crisis engulfed even the developed countries, the urgent task is to optimize the interaction of nature and society by raising the level of ecological culture that requires intensive ecological education of the whole population, especially young students. Since the value of the anthropogenic factor is constantly growing, the quality of human resources on a par with natural resources, manufacturing capacity is an important factor for the sustainable development of the society. The article studies the ecological features of education of students. To achieve this goal, the following methods were used: analysis, classification and systematization of theoretical and experimental data, theoretical modeling and data compilation, observation. We identified the specific target, content and organizational features of the design of educational and scientific process of environmental education of students. The concept of environmental education was defined, the features of environmentally educated person were identified.
