What notable places, persons and events should be presented to children in the public school curriculum? A group of teachers from Winnetka schools led by Carlton Washburn (1889-1968), author of the original teaching model Winnetka-plan, for two years conducted a research work on the selection of the education content in history, geography and civics on the materials of 18 popular newspapers and magazines.
