The cyanobacterium A. platensis (Spirulina) is a promising biotechnological object; its dried biomass is a valuable food supplement which is rich in protein, essential amino acids, fatty acids, pigments, vitamins and minerals. The aim of the study is to optimize the cultivation conditions and study the effect of the method of preservation (drying) of A. platensis B-12619 biomass as to the safety of biologically active compounds.Based on the results obtained, we make conclusions of the most favorable cultivation environments to obtain biologically active compounds and the optimal methods of biomass conservation for their storage.
