Currently, the development of biotechnology based on the use of microorganisms potential in obtaining medical preparations has become a strategic direction in the world pharmacology. The article describes fungi of Trichoderma species as the most promising producers of compounds with diverse biological activity. The research aimed to study the influence of the qualitative and quantitative content of carbon source in the nutrient medium on the antagonistic properties of the fungi of Trichoderma species. In order to select an optimal carbon source as a component for a nutrient medium, the method of joint interaction of Trichoderma species metabolites with culture fluid of Fusarium oxysporum on the microplate in a photometer at 620 nm has been chosen, the nutrient medium served as a control. It was established that the use of sucrose as a component for a nutrient medium under the submerged cultivation of micromycetes significantly influences the antagonistic properties of exometobolites of the Trichoderma species metabolites. Later the authors proposed to investigate the effect of different concentrations of sucrose as a carbon source on the antagonistic properties of Trichoderma virens by culturing fungi Fusarium oxysporum with ethylacetate extract of the secondary metabolites of the fungus on the glass slides. The relationship of the antagonistic activity of Trichoderma virens from the quantitative content of carbon in the nutrient medium has been established. It can be used for further selection of optimal culture conditions of fungi of Trichoderma species with the aim of obtaining the maximum antagonistic activity against phytopathogens and for the further development of biocontrol agents.
