Research and educational projects as a tool for promoting the linguistic heritage of the Russian old-timers of Yakutia in the cultural and educational space of the region

The Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is known in the international scientific community as a territory of a unique cultural and ethnographic community of Russian old-timers on the Indigirka, who for four centuries have been passing on the language and culture of their ancestors, natives of Novgorod the Great, from generation to generation in a foreign language environment. To this day, the old-timers of the Arctic from the village of Russkoye Ustye carefully preserve the heritage of Russian immigrants from the time of Ivan the Terrible: dialect, folklore, household items, traditions and the Orthodox faith. The scientists of the North-Eastern Federal University are faced with the task of promoting the preservation and study of this cultural monument, popularizing the available scientific materials among young people. One of the mechanisms for promoting the linguistic heritage of the Russkoye Ustye people in the cultural and educational space of the region is the organization of long-term educational projects that pursue the goals of teaching and educating on the rich dialect and folklore material, collected by more than one generation of teachers and students of the federal university.
