The article discusses the sources of the formation of forensic knowledge about the investigation of illegal acts in the field of state and municipal procurement. The analysis of the positions of modern researchers on this issue is given, as well as their own positions on identified problematic issues. The authors of the study do not claim that the methods of solving problems they proposed are the only true ones.
