Sources of the Ancient Rus criminal law: the influence of byzantium christian criminal law tradition

The genesis and evolution of the original rules of the Russian criminal law in the close interaction with the Byzantium positive law and religious regulatory system of the Greek Christian dogma are considered in the article. Metamorphosis and transformation of the original forms of socio-political response to socio dangerous offences pursued by State machinery are also analyzed and explained
