The origins of "responsible parenthood" as a historical and pedagogical phenomenon

The problem of the formation of "responsible parenthood" in modern pedagogical theory and practice is becoming particularly relevant. Due to attempts by external Western European and American influences to destroy the traditional Russian foundations of the family, today more attention is required to the work that is being carried out with the parent community in the field of education, methodological support for young families and families with experience in raising one or more children. The groundwork available in the history of pedagogy in the field of working with parents (A. S. Makarenko, V. A. Sukhomlinsky, Sh. A. Amonashvili) allows us to analyze the theoretical foundations of discourse in the field of value priorities of the modern family. The article examines the phenomenon of "responsible parenthood" from the perspective of the historical and pedagogical prerequisites of its origin. It is shown how the experience of the past influenced the development of data phenomena in subsequent periods of the history of pedagogy. Examples of the life of the Orenburg nobility, merchants, and representatives of lower classes are given, confirming a certain "split" at the turn of the XIX - XX century in the position of parents in relation to the upbringing of the younger generation: authoritarian parents and "conscious", "responsible" parents, who at that time were still called enlightened parents.
