Criminal proceedings against minors in Mongolia are developing in close connection with the history of state legislation. Minority of the offender is traditionally taken into account as a mitigating circumstance and requires a special approach and involvement of additional auxiliary participants in the criminal process. Modern regulation of the investigation and consideration of criminal cases against minors is carried out in compliance with international standards for the treatment of juvenile offenders.
