The history of educational work of professor Y. S. Subbotin, honoured architect of the Russian Federation

The article deals with the historical path of pedagogical activity of Y.S. Subbotin, honoured architect of the Russian Federation, studies the problem of personal development, formation of the higher school professor. The authors discuss Y.S. Subbotin's contribution to the formation and development of design education in the South of Russia taking into account national cultural traditions and ethnic mentality, which further allowed to form the regional specifics of the school of architecture and design.
