History and current state of paediatric terminology

The article deals with the history and current state of paediatric terminology. Terminological system of paediatrics is represented by both general and unique linguoconceptual features. The article stresses out the contribution of famous scientists to the formation of paediatric terminology. It is proved that medical language is a reflection of scientific achievements and misconceptions in different historic periods.
