The history of corporate training: the era of Peter I

The article is devoted to the historiography of the problem of corporate training during the time of Peter I. His reforms at the beginning of the 18th century affected many areas of the country’s life, such as public administration, industry, military affairs, the church and others. Peter I paid much attention to education, laying the foundations for corporate education and opening the first state professional educational institutions. There are even examples of advanced training and exchange of experience among factory workers. The analysis of scientific literature, historical legislative acts and publications in the periodical press made it possible to identify the main ways of corporate training of employees of that time: training in skills abroad along with an invitation to the country of foreign professionals, craft apprenticeship in workshops, obtaining special knowledge and skills in the first In Russia state vocational schools.
