This article examines the ethnocultural ties between the Kyrgyz and Uzbek peoples in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Kyrgyz-Uzbek ethnocultural ties are an important topic that studies the historical, cultural and social interaction of the two peoples. The period under study is characterized by significant social, economic and political changes in Central Asia, which contributed to active interaction between ethnic groups. There are several factors that determine the relationship between the Kyrgyz and Uzbek peoples during this period. Particular attention is paid to traditions, language ties, as well as joint holidays and rituals that contribute to the strengthening of interethnic ties. The article also touches upon issues of identity and self-awareness of the Kyrgyz and Uzbeks in the context of historical coexistence. First of all, the intensification of trade, migration and cultural exchange is noted. Research was conducted on the settlement of tribal associations of the Kyrgyz around the cities of Tashkent, Fergana, Namangan, Andijan and Kokon located in Uzbekistan. Because these cities are important centers of trade routes. The influence of the colonial policy of the Russian Empire on migration processes, trade relations and cultural exchange between the two peoples is analyzed. On the other hand, political changes in Central Asia in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, colonial policy and the development of national consciousness played an important role in the formation of ethnic ties between the Kyrgyz and Uzbeks. During this period, economic and cultural relations between the two peoples are clearly visible. As a result of ethnocultural ties, the similarity of the Kyrgyz and Uzbek peoples in many aspects, from clothing to food, is observed. Studying this topic will help to understand the modern relations of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek people and will lay the foundation for future cooperation, taking into account the past.
