The history of development of the norms on criminal liability of Russia and Tajikistan for organizing or participating in illegal armed group

The article considers the historical periods of development of the norms of Russia and Tajikistan on criminal liability for organizing or participating in an illegal armed group. When analyzing previously existing legislative acts, the criminal law norms that became the forerunners of the specified corpus delicti are distinguished. It is noted that the pre-revolutionary stage was the basis for the further development of the norms under consideration already in the Soviet period. It is concluded that after the collapse of the Soviet Union and the appearance of the illegal armed groups on the territory of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan, there was an urgent need to further improve the regulation of criminal liability for relevant criminal acts. The evolution of the relevant criminal law prohibitions and their features at various historical stages are considered.
