The history of the development of inheritance law in Russia

The article considers the history of formation and development of the right of inheritance in Russia from the Russo-Byzantine treaty of 911 to the novella of 2023. 5 periods of development of the right of inheritance are singled out and described in detail: in IX-X centuries, in XI-XIX centuries, in the beginning of XX century, in the Soviet period and in the post-Soviet period.
