History of formation and development perspectives of the national instruments of Buryatia - yataga

The article presents the historical information about the formation and development of the departments of the Buryat folk instruments in the educational institutions of Buryatia. The activity of the first professional performers on the Buryat folk instruments, on yataga as an example, is considered. An attempt has been made to study the development perspectives of the yataga class in Ulan-Ude musical college named after. P.I. Tchaikovsky and East Siberian state Institute of culture. The information about the graduates of the yataga class of the institute is given, their achievements are analyzed.
