The history of the origin and development of the institute of advocacy in tsarist Russia

The Institute of Advocacy has come a long way from the birth of the Institute of Lawyers to the formation of the modern bar of the Russian Federation. This article reveals the origin and development of the institution of the bar in the period of tsarist Russia, since this is the period when the development of the domestic bar was completed. The definition of a lawyer is given, the chronology of the formation and development of the institution of the bar is determined, the result of the period for the modern institution of the bar is summarized.
