Historical and legal significance of the Habeas Corpus Act in the development of English legislation

This article devoted to the main provisions of the Habeas Corpus Act, approved by the English Parliament in 1679. An attempt is made to determine the role of the adopted document in the context of the development of legislation, the significance of the approved act for subsequent changes in legal norms not only in England, but also in other countries where the experience of English legal regulation was adopted.
