"Russian historical and derivational dictionary “Russkii drevoslov”" as a new lexicographic internet project

The article presents the purpose, objectives and structure of a new lexicographic Internet project - the «Russian historical and derivational dictionary “Russkii Drevoslov”», and describes the most important principles of constructing dictionary entries in it (using the example of the family of words ‘VESNA’ SPRING). The article shows that this dictionary project solves practical problems by answering the following questions: how the word is historically developed, how the words of one family are semantically related, and what are their actual relations. The project also allows clarifying the theoretical issues related to synchronic and historical word-formation, as well as verifying vision of the dividedness and derivation of native and borrowed words in the Russian language based on extensive material.
