The paper discusses some aspects of the historiographical discourse, the subject of which is Russian philosophical thought. The plot of the paper is determined by several semantic aspects: firstly, the historiographical sources of Russian philosophy are analyzed; secondly, an attempt is made to determine the place and time of the formation of the historiography of Russian philosophy; thirdly, the problem of the authenticity of Russian philosophy is indicated in the focus of historiographical representation; and fourthly, attention is focused on the place of Russian philosophy in the history of world philosophical thought from a historiographical perspective. The positions of some well-known figures in the historiographical academic space regarding the stages of development and basic meanings of Russian philosophical thought are given. The patristic and university traditions, which are framed in the historiography of Russian philosophy, are distinguished. The author analyzes the general and autonomous provisions that interpret the stages of development, the personal contributions of individual philosophers and the basic meaning of Russian philosophy, characteristic of the distinguished traditions of the historiography of Russian philosophical thought.
